False Confidence | Lion drawing print

Prints of my lion drawing 'False Confidence'.

Every print is numbered, mounted and include a certificate of authenticity.
The second picture is the original drawing. The print and the original drawing are very similar. The print may differ slightly compared to the photo.

The lion is even though most people don't realise, an endangered species. The amount of lions has dropped by 30% to 50% in the past 20 years. They only have 8% left of the habitat they once had. And with also the relatively new threat of people hunting on lions for their skeletons. Which they use for traditional Asian medicine, as replacement from tiger skeletons. Lions also have a much smaller habitat to hunt than before, which leads to malnourishment.

So even though the lion is such a powerful animal in our eyes and looks so confident. It takes only one bullet from hunters to bring them down. The confidence they have will not help them.
Which is why i wanted to draw a powerful and confident looking lion, and name it false confidence.
